Autism Services

Specialty Spectrum Team (SST)
The Spectrum Specialty Team (SST) is a unique branch of YETC that targets the specific needs of individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. The team is comprised of a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and a staff of therapists, child development specialists, and paraprofessionals. Our treatment model is based upon the DIRFloortime® developed by Stanley Greenspan, MD. The Developmental, Individual Difference, Relationship-based (DIR®) Model is a framework that helps clinicians, parents and educators conduct a comprehensive assessment and develop an intervention program tailored to the unique challenges and strengths of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental challenges. The objectives of the DIR® Model are to build healthy foundations for social, emotional, and intellectual capacities rather than focusing on skills and isolated behaviors. All treatment plans are specific to the individual needs of the child and their family and address relational challenges, the core deficit in Autism Spectrum Disorders. In addition, the SST program provides the following services:

• Comprehensive psychological/psychoeducational evaluations for autism and mental health issues for children and adults

• Developmental evaluations for children birth-to-43 months

• Free autism screenings for those without insurance

• IEP, 504, and Accommodation Plan advocacy and support

• Therapeutic services for adults on the Autism Spectrum

• Functional Behavior Analysis

• Sibling support
