Project Star

Project STAR (Survivors of Trauma Adapting and Recovering), is a trauma specialty program designed to meet the needs of children of all ages impacted by interpersonal trauma, abuse, and deprivation. Project STAR professionals partner with children and their caregiving systems to facilitate healing from traumatic experiences, increase skills to cope with posttraumatic sequelae, provide opportunities for relationship building and corrective experiences in relationship, and promote continuity between psychotherapy sessions and the child's naturally occurring supports and environments. Project STAR firmly believes that because interpersonal trauma occurs within relationship, healing will also occur within relationship, and the more opportunities that can be created for this to occur, outcomes can only be better and more meaningful!
